It is important for sites or networks selling advertising space to be able to offer advertisers relevant information about the people visiting their site or sites. Advertisers want to know who they reach with their ads. If they are women or men? What their age is? Where do they live and what is their education? The VisitorQ surveys were developed to make it possible for sites to provide this information to advertisers.

Since February 2001 CQ Marketing Research carry out tailor-made VisitorQ surveys on all sites in AdLINK Sweden's network. The following questions are included in these surveys:
   * Overall impression of the site
   * Willingness to recommend site
   * Internet purchases and orders
   * Product category interest
   * Place of residence
   * Education
   * Occupation
   * Income
   * Gender
   * Age
   * Marital status
   * Children in household

For sites not part of AdLINK's network there are three versions of VisitorQ: Basic, Extended och Tailormade.

VisitorQ Basic includes questions on the basic demographic facts about the visitors, while VisitorQ Extended also includes questions about their habits on the site, their general Internet habits and their interest in various product categories. VisitorQ Tailormade is based on the Extended version, but site-specific questions are included according to the individual site's needs.

VisitorQ Basic includeds the following questions:
   * Gender
   * Age
   * Place of residence
   * Education
   * Marital status
   * Occupation

VisitorQ Extended includes, in addition to the questions included in the Basic version, the following questions:
   * Income
   * Frequency of visits to the site
   * Startpage in browser
   * Bookmark
   * Internet purchases and orders
   * Product category interest
   * Main use of the Internet

VisitorQ Tailormade includes the same questions as the extended version, but additional questions are added according the each client's specific needs.

The VisitorQ surveys are carried out by taking a random sample of the visitors to the site. The sampling can be made by means of a script developed by CQ Marketing Research or in some other way that is suitable for the site. The survey is carried out during four to seven days. The survey is administered on CQ's servers, which means that there will be no extra load on the site's servers.

Presentation of results is done according to the clien't needs. Results can, for example, be made available on a password protected web-site or presented on slides at a formal presentation.
